MINING IN TANZANIA

Tanzania's mining sector contributes about 2.3 per cent of the country's GDP, which is projected to account 10 per cent in 2025. Mining is one of the leading components in generating foreign exchange earnings within the non-traditional exports, with enormous potential for employment opportunities and for spearheading both the forward and backward linkage of Tanzania's economy.
